About Healthy Kids: Overview
Healthy Kids Sonoma County is a locally developed program that provides immediate access to health care and comprehensive health insurance for children of low income families.
Countywide outreach efforts connect families to Healthy Kids services through a centralized information and referral line.
Certified Application Assistors help families enroll their children into an affordable health insurance program.
Those children with immediate health care needs are referred to volunteer doctors and dentists while awaiting insurance coverage.
Once health insurance is secured the child has access to comprehensive, on-going health care within a medical/dental "home."
